This live training will provide staff with information about the prevalence and impact of tobacco use among people with behavioral health conditions and the role of staff in engaging and treating people who use tobacco. This live training covers the following topics: prevalence and co-morbidity, treatment approaches, peer support to address tobacco, tobacco control 101 (e-cigarettes and other tobacco, taxes, and policy), and motivational interviewing skills to help address tobacco use. Throughout, the training also highlights disparities in tobacco use and treatment and adaptations to address tobacco use within different communities.
